Judgment & Execution - Plaintiff

This guidance note is designed to give you basic information in respect of the Judgment & Execution that you have collected from the General Registry. After collecting the Judgment & Execution you need to take it to the appropriate Coroner with the fee (currently £10.80).

The Coroner’s office will then act on your behalf to collect the debt, please note that whilst the Coroner will act as promptly as possible, it may take some time to collect the debt depending upon circumstances

Where a defendant is unable to pay the debt in full and offers to pay by installments the Coroner will advise you.

In the rare cases where the Coroner is unable to collect the debt, he will advise you as to what the most appropriate course of action to take.
